Eve Chandler is an accomplished undergraduate vocalist pursuing her Bachelor of Music degree at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. Under the expert tutelage of esteemed instructors Lynton Atkinson and Sebastian Wybrew, she has proven her exceptional talent, having been awarded the prestigious Old Royal Naval College Chapel Trustees Scholarship to the Old Royal Naval College Trinity Laban Chapel Choir. Eve's musical journey began at Wycliffe College, where she excelled under a Music Scholarship.
A former soprano chorister at Gloucester Cathedral, Eve is also a dedicated and regular chorus member at the Three Choirs Festival, where she has had the privilege of performing alongside numerous distinguished soloists and premiering new compositions. In addition to her vocal pursuits, Eve has embraced leadership roles as a conductor and Artistic Director. She founded the vocal quartet Discantus of Trinitas, where she takes on the soprano role, and she also conducts a string quartet featuring harpsichord. Recently, she established a vocal octet, Discantus Octave, further diversifying her artistic contributions.
Eve’s conducting repertoire includes a recent performance with the Trinity Laban Orchestral Ensemble, where she skillfully led a rendition of the Third Movement of Beethoven’s First Symphony in C Major. As a composer, her works have garnered attention, particularly her Evening Service in D Major, which was initially composed for solo soprano and organ, rearranged for solo soprano, baroque strings, and basso continuo. Additionally, her Nunc Dimittis, inspired by plainsong, has been paired with the Tonus Perginus Magnificat, showcasing her innovative approach to choral music.
